About Green Gables House

Located in Prince Edward Island National Park, this quaint farmhouse is the setting for "Anne of Green Gables" books by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The Green Gables House, also called Green Gables Heritage Centre, is a National Historic Site of Canada. Montgomery visited the 19th century farm owned by her cousins the MacNeill family when she was a girl. Guided and self-guided tours are conducted in the house featuring Victorian-era furnishings.
