Nicknamed "Utah's Dixie," this city in Southwest Utah lies on the state's border with Arizona. St. George was incorporated in 1862 and named after Mormon leader George A. Smith. The city was settled a year earlier as a cotton-growing mission. Points of interest are the St. George Art Museum, Rosenbruch Wildlife Museum, St. George Opera House, St. George Utah Temple and St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site.
